Event comms is not just about the day itself - the work starts months before and carries on long after the final day.
Back in May, we supported the Guernsey Cricket team to get people talking about the Under-19s ICC World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
This tournament was a huge opportunity for Guernsey Cricket to welcome teams from across Europe to Guernsey and to enable up-and-coming cricketers to play against others.
Before the first ball was bowled, we were working behind the scenes to create and launch a newsletter, produce media coverage, support sponsors and local partnerships, and develop stories that could bring the tournament to a wider audience.
When the tournament began, we kept that momentum going, supporting journalists and sharing regular social media updates throughout.
And once the tournament ended, the work didn’t stop. We continued telling the story of its impact on local cricket and tourism, helping to keep the conversation going beyond the event itself.
It was also great to collaborate with some brilliant local creatives along the way - Copper Social Media , Chloe Sarre Creative and On Screen Creations.
It’s been a busy few months, but a really rewarding project to be part of.
