Local film production division of Rêvasser Films

Guernsey Filmworks and Institute of Screen Arts Guernsey (ISAG) had a great meeting last week with the production team behind the UK-Costa Rican feature film BLACK GOLD, which is currently in development and could see parts of the production filmed in Guernsey, thanks to the island's strong historical connection to the narrative.

Guernsey Filmworks and ISAG will be working with the team to support their development and any potential future filming on the island.

Special thanks to the Committee for Economic Development.

Guernseyman William Le Lacheur’s pivotal role in helping Costa Rica to establish itself as a sovereign nation is to be the subject of a feature film, some of which may be shot in the island.

"Film Director Lars Janssen (Guernsey Filmworks) and Laura Harrison (Operations Manager, Victor Hugo Centre) have been working on a short documentary looking back at the filming of THE STORY OF ADELE H. (1975) in Guernsey for its 50th Anniversary."

In 1975, Oscar-nominated film The Story of Adèle H. was filmed on the island.
