The Ghana Cedis in past few days has made significant gains on the dollar in the forex market trading at 12.29 on the average if you want to buy and selling at average of 11.54.
The black market is trading on average of selling rate of 12.5 and buying rate of 12.3. Interbank market has seen a dramatic depreciation of the dollar against the cedis trading at 12.5 for selling rate and 10.8 for buying rate.
The Ghana cedis is likely to make more gains since the Government has promised to conclude on IMF deal by the end of march this year. This is likely to improve investor confidence to improve revenue generation since the depreciation of the Ghana cedis affects the economic activities of the country.
