HON. JEAN-MARIE FORMADI DONATES TO MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN BIAKOYE

The Member of Parliament for the Biakoye Constituency, Hon. Jean-Marie Formadi, has extended her generosity to the Muslim communities in her constituency by donating essential items as they marked the Eid celebrations.

The donation, which took place ahead of the festivities, was aimed at supporting the Muslim faithful in their celebrations and strengthening the bond between the leadership and the community. Hon. HON. JEAN-MARIE FORMADI EMBARKS ON THANK-YOU TOUR ACROSS BIAKOYE COMMUNITIES.

Biakoye Constituency’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Jean-Marie Formadi, has embarked on a Thank-You Tour to express gratitude to her constituents for their support in electing her as the first female MP of the area.

During the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd, 2025, Hon. Formadi visited several Nkonya communities, including Mangoase, Adjamansu, Nyantor, Toklosu, Nsuam, Akati, Tepo, Wurupong VRA Settlement, Wurupong Township, and Adenkensu. She used the opportunity to personally thank residents for their unwavering trust and support in the 2024 elections.

In addition to showing appreciation, the MP engaged with constituents to listen to their concerns and reaffirm her commitment to fulfilling campaign promises. She assured them that their voices would be heard and their developmental needs prioritized.

Nkonya Wurupong Concerned Youth Association Donates to Local Schools

The Nkonya Wurupong Concerned Youth Association has extended a generous hand to support education in the area by donating essential teaching materials to several schools. Items donated included whiteboards and dusters, aimed at improving the learning environment for students.

Beneficiary schools included Biakoye Senior High School, which received 12 whiteboards, as well as Nkonya Wurupong Presbyterian Junior High School (JHS) classes one and two, and the District Assembly D/A JHS classes one and two.

Teachers and students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the association during brief appreciation ceremonies held in the schools. The donations are expected to enhance teaching and learning experiences significantly.

The association also used the occasion to appeal to relevant authorities and stakeholders for additional support, urging them to respond positively to their calls for assistance in advancing education in Nkonya Wurupong.

Nkonya Senior High School Marks 60th Anniversary with Call for Peaceful Elections

Nkonya Senior High School celebrated its 60th anniversary on Saturday 17th November 2024 under the theme "Fulfilling the Aspirations of the Founding Fathers". The milestone event brought together alumni, community members, and dignitaries, including the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Dramani Mahama, traditional leaders from the Nkonya Ahenkro and Nkonya Wurupong traditional areas, and the National Peace Ambassador, Clemence Gyato.

The event highlighted the school’s achievements over the years and its contributions to the community, while also focusing on fostering unity and peace as the 2024 General Elections approach.

Delivering a keynote address, Clemence Gyato, a proud alumnus of Nkonya Senior High School and National Peace Ambassador, emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence during and after the elections.

“As a former student of this great school, I am privileged and honored to present statements for peace during and after the 2024 General Elections,” Mr. Gyato stated. “In every contest, there is a victor and a loser. As the elections enter their final lap, let us unite in our quest for a peaceful election devoid of rancor and abusive language toward opponents of any political party.”

Mr. Gyato stressed the critical role of community members in promoting a harmonious electioneering process. “Our community and school represent who we are and what we stand for. Let us guard against troublemakers seeking to disrupt the peace we enjoy,” he urged.

He called on all citizens, regardless of religious or ideological affiliations, to embrace unity. “Let us live in peace with our neighbors, eschew divisive statements, and be each other’s keeper. This is the path to a peaceful and prosperous future.”

The event also featured speeches from other dignitaries, cultural displays, and reflections on the school’s journey over six decades. Traditional leaders and government representatives reiterated their commitment to ensuring development in the Nkonya community and fostering unity among its people.

NANA OSEI TUTU AND WIFE'S GENEROUS DONATION ENHANCES EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN NKONYA KEDJEBI.

On September 17, 2024, Nana Osei Yeboah donated a variety of books to kindergarten students in Nkonya Kedjebi, aiming to enrich early childhood education in the community. Dr. Nicholas Darko, the former Education Director, officially presented the donation on Nana Osei Tutu behalf.

During the presentation, Dr. Darko stressed the significance of early childhood education and highlighted how books and educational resources can substantially boost literacy levels among young learners. He commended Nana Osei Tutu for his dedication to education and for addressing the students' needs.
