Rapper Sean Kingston was sentenced on Friday to three and a half years in prison after being convicted of a $1 million fraud scheme in South Florida. Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, and his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner, were each convicted by a federal jury in March of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud. Turner was sentenced last month to five years in prison. At least 194 people have died in the last 24 hours in heavy monsoon floods and landslides in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Most of the deaths, 180, were recorded by disaster authorities in the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in north-west Pakistan. At least 30 homes were destroyed and a rescue helicopter crashed during operations, killing its five crew. Nine more people were killed in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, while five died in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region, it said. The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly stealing and destroying property. The suspect, Sulemana Adams, allegedly broke into a Toyota Highlander of a staff member of the Sunyani Municipal Hospital, and made away with an HP laptop computer, GH¢11,000 and €80 cash, as well as unspecified Kenyan Shillings and South African Rands cash, a power bank, and an external hard drive.
