It was narrated from Jabir that Abu Sa`eed Al-Khduri told him that he entered upon the Prophet (s.a.w) and said: "I saw him praying on a reed mat on which he was prostrating, and I saw him praying in a single garment, wrapping it around himself."

SALAT OF TRAVELLERS

It was narrated from Salim bin `Abdullah, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) prayed as a traveler in Mina and elsewhere, with two Rak`ah. Abu Bakr and `Umar also prayed with two Rak`ah, as did `Uthman at the beginning of his Khilafah (reign), then he completed it and made it four Rak`ah.

PRAYER OF A TRAVELERS
It was narrated that Ibn `Abbas said: "Allah enjoined the prayer on the tongue of your Prophet (s.a.w): Two Rak`ah for the traveler, four (Rak`ah) for the resident, and during times of fear, one Rak`ah."

PURIFICATION

Ishaq bin Sa`eed bin `Amr bin Sa`eed bin Al-`As narrated: "My father told me that his father said: `I was with `Uthman and he called for water for purification. He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: `There is no Muslim man who, when the time for a Salat Maktubah (prescribed prayer) comes, performs Wudu` well, focuses with proper humility in his prayer and bows properly, but it will be an expiation for the sins that came before it, so long as he did not commit any major sin, and that applies for all time."`

Faith
و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ يُحَدِّثُ طَاوُسًا أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَلَا تَغْزُو؟ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بُنِيَ عَلَى خَمْسٍ شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ وَصِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ.
Tawus narrated that a man said to `Abdullah bin `Umar: "Why don`t you go out to fight?" He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: `Islam is built on five (pillars): Testimony that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, establishing the Salat, paying the Zakat, fasting (during the month of) Ramadan and pilgrimage to the House."

FAITH
It was narrated from Abu Suhail, from his father, that he heard Talhah bin `Ubaidullah say: "A man from among the people of Najd, with disheveled hair, came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), and we could hear the sound of his voice but we could not understand what he was saying, until he drew close to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), and he was asking about Islam. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: `Five prayers each day and night.` He said: `Do I have to offer any (prayers) other than that?` He said: `No, unless you do them voluntarily. And fasting the month of Ramadan.` He said: `Do I have to do any (fasting) other than that?` He said: `No, unless you do it voluntarily.` And the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) mentioned Zakat, and he said: `Do I have to do anything other than that?` He said: `No, unless you do it voluntarily.` The man left, saying: `By Allah, I shall not do any more than this or any less.` The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: `He will succeed if he is telling the truth.`"

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "I have been supported against the enemy with fear and I have been given the power of encompassing speech. While I was sleeping I was given the keys of the treasures of the earth, and they were placed in my hand."

UPON LEAVING THE MOSQUE

بِسمِ الله وَالصّلاةُ وَالسّلامُ عَلى رَسولِ الله، اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَسْأَلُكَ مِـنْ فَضْـلِك، اللّهُـمَّ اعصِمْنـي مِنَ الشَّيْـطانِ الرَّجـيم

Translation: In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask for Your favor, O Allah, protect me from Satan the outcast.

Transliteration: Bismillaahi wassalaatu wassalaamu 'alaa Rasoolillaahi, Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka min fadhlika, Allaahumma'simnee minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem.

اِلبَـس جَديـداً وَعِـشْ حَمـيداً وَمُـتْ شهيداً

Translation: Wear anew, live commendably and die a shaheed.

Transliteration: Ilbas jadeedan, wa 'ish hameedan, wa mut shaheedan.

UPON COMPLETING THE ABLUTION

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريـكَ لَـهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُـه

Translation: I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

Transliteration: 'Ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa 'ash-hadu 'anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasooluhu.

WHEN YOU WAKE UP FROM SLEEP

الحَمْـدُ لِلّهِ الّذي أَحْـيانا بَعْـدَ ما أَماتَـنا وَإليه النُّـشور

Translation: All praise is for Allaah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection

Transliteration: Alhamdu lillaahil-lathee 'ahyaanaa ba'da maa 'amaatanaa wa'ilayhin-nushoor
