“Are we treading on dangerous ground?”
Dr. Ranszi Inusah, Director of Research, United Party, warns that growing religious intolerance could threaten Ghana’s long-standing tradition of peaceful coexistence between people of different faiths.
He argues that religious intolerance has contributed to conflict, instability and underdevelopment in other countries, making it an issue that requires the attention of Ghana’s security agencies, the Cyber Security Authority and the media.
While acknowledging that religious beliefs are deeply personal and sacred, Dr. Inusah says Ghana must be careful not to fuel tensions or allow disagreements to undermine the peace the country has enjoyed.
“As a country, we must act in a manner that will not fuel this crisis.”
