Pastor Enoch has encouraged believers to prioritize God’s leading over personal ambition and societal expectations, reminding Christians that true success comes from obedience to God rather than human approval.
Using relatable examples, he cautioned against interpreting every dream or vision to match personal desires. He explained that many people already have their minds made up about relationships or careers and then attempt to make spiritual experiences confirm what they already want.
Speaking on career choices, Pastor Enoch noted that many people believe prestige determines success. However, he stressed that prosperity comes from God’s blessing, not from a particular profession.
“Wealth is not in the kind of job you do. The Bible says, ‘Whatever he does shall prosper.’ Even if God asks you to sell paper, you will prosper because the blessing comes from Him.”
He also reflected on his early days in ministry, sharing how he once rushed to print business cards after realizing influential people expected him to have one. Looking back, he described the pursuit of status as “vanity,” emphasizing that many of the things people strive to maintain are driven by appearances rather than purpose.
Drawing from Scripture, Pastor Enoch pointed to John the Baptist as an example of someone who may have appeared unsuccessful by human standards but fulfilled one of the greatest assignments ever given to prepare the way for Jesus Christ.
He concluded by reminding believers that God evaluates life differently from people.
