GNUTS COURTESY VISIT TO THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS

Last week, the National Executive Committee of GNUTS paid a working visit to Hon. Mustapha Ussif, Minister in charge of Youth and Sports.

The discussion was focused on youth empowerment and sports development as it is the primary mandate of the ministry.
The Hon. Minister highlighted some government interventions aimed at empowering the youths (Those in TVET). He mentioned of the National Apprenticeship Program (NAP), National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (NEIP) among others and charged the union to communicate these opportunities to the benefits of its members.

GNUTS pleaded for funding and support for Ghana Technical University Sports Association’s (GHATUSA) games organized every two years for Technical University athletes.

Despite the unfriendly gesture by the Minister’s Personal Aide, the discussion was positive and we hope to actualizing the promises made in due course.

Accompanying NEC was Accra Technical University-SRC and GNUTS Ambassador, Cape Coast Technical University.

Kumasi Technical University🙏

GNUTS CAMPUS DRIVE AT KsTU-OSEIKROM

Earlier yesterday, the Campus Visitation train arrived at Oseikrom particularly, Kumasi Technical University where the leadership of the union led by H. E. A. A. Aziz met with the SRC and some management team members to discuss issues of mutual concern as far as the students and Technical Education is concerned.

The discussions was centered around official introduction of new NEC to management and students, initiatives and intended activities to embark on during the academic year, the GNUTS mega deal and most importantly cross-collaboration and institutional citizenship of the union between management and students leadership.
