FAKE GOLD TASKFORCE OFFICERS BUSTED IN WESTERN REGION.
The Western Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals for impersonating members of the Ghana Gold Board Taskforce and engaging in acts of extortion.
The suspects — 40-year-old Foster Delord and 38-year-old Prince Worvi, who both claim to be former military personnel — were apprehended after reports indicated they were moving from one gold dealership to another, posing as Gold Board officials.
Items recovered from them include a handcuff, pepper spray, electric shocker, a set of uniform, and GH₵500 cash.
They have since been arraigned before the Tarkwa Circuit Court and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
The Regional Command is urging the public, particularly gold dealers, to remain vigilant and always demand proper identification from individuals claiming to represent government agencies.
