Member of Parliament for North Tongu and chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a post on his page, revealed that the team has intervened to protect four government bungalows behind the State House from being demolished by a private developer.

According to the post, the developer, who claims to have purchased the land last year, had sent thugs to evict the government workers occupying the bungalows. However, Team ORAL acted swiftly to prevent the demolition.

"We have asked the government workers who are staff of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Gender, Children and Social Protection not to move out of their bungalows as demanded by the thugs," Ablakwa stated.

Ablakwa further stated that "notice is hereby served that those faceless private developers may proceed for a refund from whoever they purportedly bought the state lands from."

The official portrait of President John Mahama has been released, and what's notable is that the government won't be hiring anyone to print and distribute framed copies of the portrait. This decision is aimed at saving the country some money, which is a pretty prudent move, especially considering Ghana's current economic situation.
