The discovery comes after three persons among six suspects, who were arrested earlier last year in connection with the disappearance of a young man, led authorities to their secret ritual burial site.

Abossey Okai tragedy: Popular area drunk man was m.urdered and placed on the sharp metal object and didn't accidentally fall on it as initially reported; Police report teveasls

The incident, which occurred on Monday was originally reported as an accidental death.

Eyewitnesses claimed the deceased believed to have been drunk, fell asleep on a table around 3 a.m. and while attempting to get down around 5 a.m., lost his balance and was f.atally impaled by a metal object near the structure.

However, a joint investigation by the Kaneshie Police Service and forensic experts has now revealed that the victim did not fall by accident.

Instead, the autopsy uncovered evidence suggesting he was m.urdered before being deliberately positioned on the metal object in an apparent attempt to stage an accident.

A road accident on Lagos’ busy 3rd Mainland Bridge has left several people injured after a collision between a Toyota Camry and a commercial bus, popularly known as a “Danfo.”

The crash happened before Adekunle Junction, heading inward Lagos Island. Witnesses say the impact caused the bus to lose control and somersault multiple times, throwing passengers into panic and leaving bystanders rushing to help.

Emergency responders arrived quickly to attend to the injured and clear the wreckage to prevent further gridlock on one of Lagos’ busiest routes. Authorities are urging drivers to obey traffic rules and remain vigilant, especially during peak hours, to avoid similar tragedies.

A man has married a 6-year-old girl as his third wife in Afghanistan after she was given away for money by her parents.

According to Amu.tv.,the Taliban were forced to intervene in the union after a disturbing photo of the 45-year-old mam and a little girl standing together left many people horrified.

The youngster had allegedly been exchanged by her father for money to a man who already has two wives.

The marriage was set to take place last Friday in Helmand province but the Taliban stepped in and arrested both men involved.

No charges were brought against them but they have forced the man to wait until the girl is nine before he can take her home, local media said.

UN Women reported last year that there has been a 25 per cent rise in child marriages in Afghanistan after the Taliban banned girls' education in 2021.

They also said there has been a 45 percent increase in childbearing across the country.
