PHOTOS: President John Mahama has received the first report and recommendation from the Article 146 Committee of Inquiry on petitions seeking the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

The Committee, chaired by Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang, also granted a joint request from the second petitioner and the Chief Justice to adjourn the next inquiry.

THE BLACKSTAR EXPERIENCE: TRADITIONAL CUISINE FESTIVAL

The Krowor Municipal Assembly successfully organized The Black Star Experience i.e., a Traditional Cuisine Festival dubbed “Yoomo Kpatashie”, on Friday, 29th August 2025 at The Junction Mall, Nungua.

The event showcased the richness of our traditional dishes through exciting exhibitions, youth cooking competitions, and cultural exchanges, while also offering free health screening to the community.

Participating groups included One Family & TMT (Gjiji with Sh*tor and cucumber-pineapple juice), We Lit & USA (Kenkey with Kenann and watermelon-pineapple juice), Odogwu City & Mishee Yɛ Tsonshi (Gari with Ashiorshiɛ Akorlo and carrot-beetroot juice), Gorta Sɛɛ & Gorzii (Gari with Akorlor and orange-apple juice), and Looksharp & Shika Mann Yɛ Fɛɔ (Banku with Sh*tor and orange-pineapple juice). Their creativity and culinary skill brought the festival to life.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our sponsors - U Fresh Company Limited, The Junction Mall, Core Water, All Day Filtered Water, China Mall, and Nini Beads - for their immense support. Special thanks also go to our distinguished guests, participating groups, and the people of Nungua for making this celebration of culture and cuisine a memorable success.
