"Only Small Minded People Will Say Games Are Fixed In The GPL" - Dreams FC Coach Ignatius Fosu.

Dreams FC coach, Ignatius Fosu, has dispelled reports of match-fixing in the Ghana Premier League.

According to the ex-Techiman Eleven Wonders gaffer, it is bizarre to brand the entire league with match-fixing because two clubs were found guilty of the act.

Fans and pundits have been left worried by some of the results in games, especially at the tail end of the campaign.

"I always say that only small-minded people will say that there is fix match going on in the league, because as far as I'm concerned, there is no match-fixing in Ghana Premier League," he told Kumasi-based Pure FM.

"There are 18 clubs in the league so why would anyone think that because only two teams (Ashantigold and Inter Allies) were caught, we can conclude that there is match-fixing in Ghana Premier League. Why is it that we don't say that Serie A matches are fixed because Juventus and AC Milan were caught in a match-fixing scandal some years back," he added.

Kwaw Kese Shades NPP Government As 1 Dollar Reaches 8.13 Cedi

Hip-hop cm Hip Hop artist Kwaw Kese from Ghana has ripped on the NPP administration for causing the nation’s economy to collapse as a result of the increase in the dollar exchange rate.

He made this statement in reference to their new catchphrase, “Breaking the 8,” which they created as inspiration to assist them retain power after completing their first and second terms.

Kwaw Kese referred to the dollar’s current value of GHS8.13 as what they meant when they indicated they were willing and eager to break the 8 mark.

The Agona Swedru–bred rapper claims that they have definitely surpassed the GHS8 mark, which, until recently, was equal to one dollar.

In a tweet, he wrote; “This is how they meant by breaking the 8 oo… It’s a for the politriktian

I Stabbed JB Danquah - Sexy Don Don

DANIEL ASIEDU, aka Sexy Don Don, the prime suspect in the murder of the then Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, the late JB Danquah-Adu, has admitted to stabbing the late MP during a confrontation when he went to his Shiashie residence with the intention to rob.

The accused, who is standing trial over the murder of the late MP, in a startling admission demonstrated how he went into the late MP’s bedroom through his window in a robbery that led to the death of the MP.

The admission is contained in a video recorded during the interrogation of the accused as well as videos of a reconstruction of the crime scene in the late MP’s house, and were admitted by an Accra High Court where the accused is standing trial for murder.

The court prior to admitting the pendrive containing the videos heard how Daniel Asiedu admitted that the catapult and metal cutter found in the late MP’s bedroom were his (accused) and his admission that he uses the catapult in driving away dogs when he enters a house to commit a crime while the metal cutter is used in cutting burglar proof in case he meets a window that is burglar-proofed.

“According to the first accused person (Asiedu), he did not use them because there were no dogs in the house and the windows were not having burglar-proof, so after the commission of the crime he left them in the room of the deceased,” Chief Inspector Augustus Nkrumah, the case investigator told the court yesterday.

The video which was played prior to its admission showed Daniel Asiedu demonstrating to police investigators how he squeezed himself through a metal fence into the house. He told them that the security man on duty was sleeping when he entered the house.

He told the investigators that he did not know the personality of the late MP prior to robbing him and only chose his room out of the lot in the house because it was the only one that had light turned on when he entered the house.

He indicated that the glass window leading to the late MP’s room was not locked so he slid it open and entered the room, sneaked himself behind a chair and went to the bedside drawer where he picked two phones and just when he was about to leave the room the late MP woke up to turn off a television and spotted him. He said the late MP shouted “thief, thief, thief”.

He said the MP held his (accused’s) shirt around the neck firmly, and he struggled with the MP. It was during the struggle that Asiedu said he stabbed the late MP with a jack knife which weakened him, and he sat on the floor beside the bed and could not scream for help.

Daniel Asiedu told investigators that he continued to search the room for valuables while the late MP sat helplessly and watched him do the searching.

The accused during the reconstruction of the crime scene visibly broke down, went on his knees, placed his elbows on the late MP’ s bed and said a prayer after which he made a sign of the cross before he continued the demonstration.

The tendering of the video was objected to by Yaw Dankwa, counsel for the accused person, who argued that the accused was under duress and at all material time was in handcuff, tortured and deprived of sleep and also did not have a lawyer present when the videos were shot.

This was opposed by Sefakor Batse, a Principal State Attorney who said the accused was relaxed throughout the interrogation and the cuts on the accused was a result of struggling with the late MP while the one on his face was as a result of putting his head through a metal fence with thorns around it.

Justice Lydia Osei Marfo, admitted the video and said the weight to be placed on it is subject to the cross-examination of counsel for the accused person.

Alan Wins Big at the NPP National Delegates Conference.

Ghana's Trade and Industry Minsiter Hon Alan Kyerematen saw his Presidential fortunes brightened at the NPP National Delegates Conference with his prefered candidates taking major positions in the Party.

The leadership selection exercise saw his political fortunes boosted with the elections of his prefered candidates in the National Executives Elections.

Secretary General elect, Lawyer Justin Kudia, shook the foundation of the party with an historic triumph over the much fancied John Boadu.

The newly elected Secretary General, described among the inner circles as a pro-Alan candidate , led a number of National Executives with soft hearts for the Trade and Industry Minsiter.

Justin Kudia was joined by National Chairman, Steven Ntim in a massive boost for Hon Alan Kyerematen.

The main rival for Hon Alan Kyerematen in the Presidential aspirants, HE Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, saw his dwindling fortunes grounded with massive defeats to his prefered candidates.

Former General Secretary , John Boadu, who was a known face in the Bawumia camp, lost massively in the National exercise.

To compound the woes of the Vice President, his prefered candidate for the chairman, Kwabena Abankwa, also lost to eventual winner Steven Ntim.

The eventual winners reflected in the National Delegates Conference reflected the endorsement of the two leading candidates for the Presidential Primaries.

With a number of his Regional Chairmen winning at the regional level, pundits of the game are already leaning towards Hon Alan Kyerematen to replace HE Nana Addo as the Presidential Candidate to lead the party to the 2024 General Elections.

Mills' Mortal Remains: 'It's a Shame You're Doing Dirty Politics To Support John Mahama' - Koku Fires Late Mills' Brother.

Brother of former President, John Evans Atta Mills is furious that the government has allowed the Atta Mills Institute to tamper with the grave of the former President.

In a sreies of tweets on Tuesday by Koku Anyidoho, an aide to the late Prof. Atta Mills, he has responded equally to the claims by Samuel Atta Mills, MP for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency in the Central Region.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho has asked him to produce the autopsy report of the late President and tell us what killed his brother.

"Sammy Atta-Mills says I am a buffoon? I see! Let him produce the autopsy report of the late President Atta-Mills. Sammy Atta-Mills should tell us, what killed his brother. He says, his brother died in his hands: he should tell us how his brother died," he tweeted on Tuesday evening.

According to him he will not use Asomdwe Park, the final resting place of the late President for partisan politics, but it is a big shame that Sammy Atta-Mills has neglected the burial place of his brother, and is using the work the State is doing for dirty politics, in support of John Dramani Mahama.

"Sammy Atta-Mils has never celebrated his brother; he wants me to tell the story of his wickedness towards his brother?" Koku Anyidoho tweeted again on Tuesday.

Late Atta Mills' Brother furious at government

Brother of former President, John Evans Atta Mills is furious that the government has allowed the Atta Mills Institute to tamper with the grave of the former President.

The non-governmental organisation run by Koku Anyidoho, an aide to the late Prof. Atta Mills, says they are rehabilitating the ‘Asomdwe Park’ where the mortal remains of the ‘Asomdwehene’ were buried.

According to brother of the former President, Samuel Atta Mills, the current arrangement goes against customs.

“It is not proper to allow the NGO to make changes to the grave without recourse to the family,” he said.

“Apparently a group calling itself Atta Mills Institute that the family does not recognize and Coastal Development Authority have gone to break this grave of President Evans Atta Mills…why would you go and touch somebody’s grave without informing the family? . . . Who has the body now? That is the question I want to ask Ghanaians,” he lamented.
