🇧🇫 After more than 60 years of promises, the Pô Kapro Dam is finally a reality.

On July 25, 2026, President Captain Ibrahim Traoré officially inaugurated the Pô Kapro Dam in Burkina Faso.

Completed in just 8 months, the dam is expected to:
💧 Provide clean drinking water
🌾 Support year-round agriculture
🐟 Boost fish farming
👨‍🌾 Create opportunities for local communities

With a storage capacity of approximately 1.1 million cubic meters, the project is part of Burkina Faso’s efforts to strengthen food security and expand water infrastructure. Authorities also say more dams are planned across the country.
