🚨🇬🇭Eiii Woow Abusua 👉 Ibrahim Mahama has offered employment and business support to Emmanuel Akowuah Asamoah, a Ghanaian who recently returned home after fleeing xen0phobic att+cks in South Africa.
Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Benjamin Anani Quashie, confirmed the development in an interview with Joy News on May 11, 2026.
He said Asamoah has already started the process of reintegration after arriving back in Ghana.
“Fortunately, Mr Ibrahim Mahama has decided to offer him employment, which he has gladly accepted,” Quashie stated.
According to him, discussions were held on how best to support the returnee, leading to Mahama’s intervention.
Beyond the job offer, Quashie explained that Mahama’s intention goes further, aiming to position Asamoah as an example for other Ghanaians abroad.
“Mr Ibrahim indicated to him that he wants him to be an ambassador so that other Ghanaians in other countries can look up to him… and say he was helped and was able to make meaning of his life,” he said.
Reports also indicate that Mahama plans to support Asamoah in setting up a cement distribution and building materials business upon his return.
In addition, he is said to have provided a financial package of GH₵200,000 to help him restart his life.
