According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was apprehended by bystanders who wasted no time in delivering a flurry of slaps from all directions before handing him over to the police.

The incident drew a huge crowd, with many expressing outrage over the brazen act.
Police have since taken the suspect into custody for further investigation.

35-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR STAGING ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING USING DUCK BLOOD

The Central East Regional Police have arrested Benjamin Owusu, a 35-year-old man, for allegedly faking a robbery and kidnapping incident at his residence on September 3, 2025.

According to police reports, Owusu himself called to report the supposed attack. Upon arrival, officers discovered blood stains at the scene, prompting an immediate investigation. It was later uncovered that the suspect had staged the entire incident using duck blood to create the appearance of violence.

During interrogation, Owusu confessed to orchestrating the fake robbery and kidnapping because he could not account for money belonging to his employer. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
