A LETTER TO MY EX BOYFRIEND
Dear ex boyfriend
When we first met, you told me I was the most beautiful lady you ever met. You said my smile looks like a freshly blossom rose flowers.
What has changed?
Were you telling lies when you said "your voice refresh my energy as though I drunk a mineral water"? You told me never to walk away because you will cling to me like the old ragged cross. You said my attitude and sense of responsibility makes me stand tall among my peers. You said "loving you give me joy and peace so I love you without struggling"
What has changed?
You no longer call me your girlfriend. You spent time planning with my mum behind my back just to surprise me.
As the end of our boyfriend /girlfriend relationship gets closer, you prefer to see me more often instead of talking on the phone.
You want to eat my foods more instead of the street foods. You want to hold my hands more than you hold your phone.
What has changed?
You want to play with me more than you played your PSG. You have grown into a fine gentleman decorated with maturity and sense of humor. You have become my ex boyfriend in a space of one year.
Today, I want to say it's over. You are no longer my boyfriend because you are now my husband. You have Honoured me, my family and yourself after I said "I do"
As we bring an end to our girlfriend / boyfriend chapter, our happily ever after has just begun. I don't expect us to end our little fights. I know things may change but am ready for this chapter. My husband, I will do my best to be your wife as I am no longer your girlfriend. I will love and cherish you. I will fight for you but I won't shield you when you are wrong. I will not shout at you because of the mutual respect we share. I will be your support system because we have many plans to achieve. I promise to whisper words of good counsel in your ears because you are the face of our union and your glory is our glory.
