A sad day for humanity yesterday July 9, 04, as kids attending a dance class in Southport got stabbed without provocation by a 17 year old boy, who was arrested at the scene charged with murder and attempted murder.

9 people in total have been declared sa stabbed with two chidren dead, two adults who tried to defend the children in critical conditions.

Day 5 of Current Emerging Cyber Security Threats *** Cryptojacking***

Cryptojacking is an inherently non-consensual and illegal activity, where adversaries/criminals run malware on other people's hardware to secretly mine cryptocurrency.

Most people interchange this activity to mean the same as crypto mining, whuch is a legal and intentional process where individuals or companies use their resources to mine cryptocurrencies.

How it occurs:

Hackers use phishing emails or other methods to get you to click a link that then downloads the cryptojacking malware to your device.

Recent examples of cryptojacking:

In 2019, two members of the Romanian hacking group Bayrob Group were sentenced to 20 years in prison after their cryptojacking malware infected 400,000 computers [*].

In an even more bizarre case, it was recently discovered that Norton – a company that makes software designed to protect you from viruses — now installs cryptomining software on your device by default.

How long does it take to repair undersea cable?😎

First is -the availability of the repair vessel.

Second is- the proximity of the repair vessel to the cable storage depot where spares are kept.

Third is - the distance from the spare depot to the fault location.

Typical cable repair vessels transit at about 13 knots so transit time could be a few hours or a couple of weeks.

The time it takes to locate and recover the cable is a function of water depth. The deeper the water the longer it takes. Expectedly, it takes about three days in shallow water once the repair ship arrives at the fault location. Deep water adds an additional two or three days. All of these intervals presume that Mother Nature is cooperative and the ship isn’t delayed due weather. (Frank Cuccio-via Quora).
