Dr. Kwaku Oteng Is John Mahama’s Friend- Okatakyie Reveals Why He Left Angel FM

Media personality, Okatakyie Afrifa has finally disclosed why he is no more with the Angel FM.

Speaking on the first episode of his show, the controversial media personality stated categorically that he was not sacked from Angel FM, as has been speculated.

According to him, he willingly left the radio station when he felt it was high time he stopped.

Narrating the whole story, Okatakyie Afrifa stated that the rapport that exists between his former boss, Dr. Kweku Oteng, and President Mahama triggered his decision to leave.

He claims he foresaw that looking at how free the duo were, the president would make things hard for him, claiming he might want him to speak for the NDC which he will never do.

To ensure such does not occur, he claims he willingly left the radio station to become a boss on his own.

Abronye accuses NIB of bias following invitation over allegations against Mahama

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC has accused the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) of bias in the discharge of their duties.

This follows his invitation by the NIB to appear on February 26, 2025 in relation to some allegations he made against President John Mahama.

According to the NIB, Abronye is required to provide evidence supporting his claims that President Mahama is withholding GH₵550 million intended for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House.

Abronye DC allegedly made these claims during an appearance on Accra-based Movement Television, where he also accused the government of corruption in the recruitment and revocation processes.

He told Channel One News in an interview on Saturday February 22 that “There was a money intended for those employees whose appointment letter have been terminated, and no government will recruit for that budgeting. So I’ll go and face them. I haven’t seen the criminal element of that. So they said I should come and assist them in investigation. So let’s go and then take it from there.

“Then after that, we can read meaning to their invitation whether they are trying to reintroduce the culture of silence that everybody spoke against some time ago. I don’t see the criminal element of this issue for BNI to take or invite me to assist them when the current government appointees have made wild allegation, and the director of BNI hasn’t invited any of them.

“Wild allegation, serious that Akyem mafia we are hoarding gold outside, the MIIF. There are monies that they have stolen. A lot of things. So the director of, national investigation did not invite any of them. So we will go and prove to them that they are doing selectivity in their work.”
