WTB Awards
WHO’S THE BEST (WTB) is a countrywide Senior high school Talent competition programme organized by High School TV to help build the confidence and capabilities of students and unearth talents from the various senior high schools specifically in the areas of Dance, Drama, Poetry, Rap, Acting, Singing, Cultural.Cadet Display etc. The Competition has an annual Awards scheme and the Grand final at the National Theater every August.
It is a 30min program currently airing on TV Africa also live on DSTV Ch362 (6:00pm), HSTV (6:00pm), ZTV (5:00pm), CAMPUS TV (4:00pm), GTV (12:00pm) and GoTV Ch175 every Saturday and Repeat on Monday- Thursday, with interesting segments that concentrate only on High School activities. The program features segments such as ( Rack Your Brain , High school news) It is aproject targeted at talent development in SHS.
Season two is taking place at the National Theater on the 15th August 2019. The WTB Award program, for the 2019 season has completed the 1st phase, 10 high schools qualified with individual talent nominated for the grand finally. This was through voting by all stakeholders, eg student, parents and the general public. It’s Main aim is to use Entertainment as a tool to make Education attractive to our young ones especially for the fact that Second Cycle Education has been made Free by the Government.
