The long-whispered “romance scam kingpin” Abu Trica has finally been arrested!
Real name Frederick Kumi, the 31-year-old from Swedru was picked up in Ghana on December 11, 2025 after a U.S. federal grand jury indicted him for allegedly stealing over $8 MILLION from elderly Americans through online romance scams.

According to investigators, Abu Trica wasn’t acting alone — he was part of a well-organized criminal network running love traps, fake relationships, and “urgent money needs” schemes since 2023.
Victims believed they had found love… until their life savings vanished.

And this is NOT an isolated case.

2025 has been one of the hottest years for scam arrests:

Ghanaian songstress Efya Nokturnal recently shared some honest reflections during an interview on TV3, touching on how she relates with her fans especially on X (Twitter), a space where many celebrities face daily trolling.

According to Efya, the public’s perception of her is often misunderstood.
She revealed, “I think people think I am not a nice person. It depends on the kind of energy you come at me with.”
