“Joy to the world”: TikTok Back Up in U.S. As Trump Extend Deadline for TikTok Sale

Around 12 hours after shutting itself down in the United States, TikTok is back for many users almost like it never left, attributing its return to a move by President-elect Donald Trump to save the app.

TikTok welcomed users back with a notification that said: “Thanks for your patience and support. As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.!”

But while TikTok’s shutdown lasted just a few hours, securing the app’s long-term future in the United States is likely to be more complicated.

Trump is now officially the 47th President of the United States and his first official policy is making sure only two Genders in the United States.

Donald Trump has moved to change the US government's policies on gender and diversity, following through on promises he made on the campaign trail.

"As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female," Trump said during his inaugural address.

The Trump administration indicated he would sign an executive order that would recognise two sexes only, male and female and declare that they cannot be changed.

The move is part of Trump's wider promises about what conservatives term as "woke" culture, gender and diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) programs.
