OMJ Foundation Climaxes "Pink Month" with Over 3500 Beneficiaries in Akuapem South Municipality.

Principally, the good people of Akuapem South Municipality and close environs were the primary beneficiaries of the maiden organisation of the internationally acclaimed Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, organized by the OMJFoundation. Themed, "Fight Strong, Live Long, Save A B**b Today!", the two-day intensive breast cancer awareness and screening campaign saw over three thousand five hundred (3500) people directly and diversely benefiting, with women taking the center stage.

Thursday, 30th. and Friday, 31st. October, 2025 were carefully chosen for this big-impact driven activity for various reasons. Significantly, the dates round up the calendar on the global awareness of breast cancer and coincide with the prestigious festival of the good people of Okuapeman - the Odwira Festival
This year's Breast Cancer Month Campaign directly falls under one of the five pillars of OMJ Foundation i.e. "Health And General Well Being". The other pillars include Sports, Education, Youth Empowerment and High Level Advocacy.

Delivering the Keynote address in the Presbyterian Senior High and Technical School - Aburi and Diaspora Girls Senior High School - Obodan, both in The Municipality, Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph (OMJ), Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OMJ Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm and fulfilment in bid of contributing largely to humanity with consistency. He reechoed his conviction to institutionalizing this noble but most cherished foundation; a dynamic, philanthropic, and compassionate nonprofit organization committed to advancing opportunities and creating a lasting positive change to the less privileged. With the sole purpose of uplifting generations through the act of giving back to society. This foundation champions generosity, empathy, and collective actions to transform lives and build a brighter future for the next generation. Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph remarked and impressed his audience on Breast Cancer, some causes, risk factors, and to keeping a healthy breast and treatment amongst others. He shared pieces of advice to the student-audience and exhorted, "My dear students, take proper care of your breasts, even your general well-being. Desist from activities and lifestyles that will impede your growth of becoming a holistically beautiful and proud achiever of self respect and enjoyment of longer life." He opined on health and lifestyle, and added this on education - "Take your education more seriously. If possible, stop "boyfriendism and girlfriendism" for now, or limit it to insignificance. Concentrate fully on your books and take your classroom lessons seriously. Also try to be in a company of good friends: peers who will challenge you to excellence in academics. Groom your God-given talents and set good standards for yourself. Be a reflection of humility and respect to your colleagues and the elderly."

By the assistance of the Akuapem South Municipal Health Directorate, and Tolbert Health, who provided personnel (doctors, nurses and other health practitioners) as well as equipment, day one of the event focused on Education and Awareness Creation. Three second cycle schools were the greatest beneficiaries. These are Presbyterian Senior High And Technical School - Aburi, Adonten Senior High School - Aburi and Diaspora Girls Senior High School - Obodan. Staff and students numbering more than three thousand were engaged. Questions and Answers fora were observed after every lecture on the subject matter.
Headmasters, staff and other stakeholders shared their appreciation and lauded the OMJ Foundation to not relent in their quest to organising prestigious events such as this.

Day two focused on community breast cancer screenings. This took place in the heart of Kitase. Women trouped to the Basketball Court and had their breasts screened from the early morning to late afternoon. Other specially-designed mobile screening centres in Aburi, and Akuapem Technical Institute, together, saw about two hundred and fifty(250) women hugely profiting.

It is worth mentioning that three women were diagnosed with lumps in their breasts and have since been counseled and referred to the appropriate facilities for treatment to commence. The Foundation ceases the opportunity and call for corporate Ghana individuals to poster

OMJ Foundation is poised to giving back, giving hope, and impacting generations.

SOCIAL SERVICE || “CLEAN AND PLAY”

Health is wealth as it is commonly said. So, the health status of a community or family has a great role to play in their livelihood. Certainly, ignorance and disregard for the effects of waste underlie our wasteful practices. Society separates us from both the resources we extract and the waste we produce. This leads to an attitude of indifference. Behind the indifference may also prowl arrogance, that we are entitled to use all the resources we consume and can therefore disregard the waste that may result.

On the other hand, Exercise is the miracle cure we have always had, but for too long we have neglected to take our recommended dose. Our health is now suffering as a consequence. All of these attitudes adversely affect our environment and threaten our very well being.

In light of this, Decathlon Ghana Limited in Partnership with Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Patron Sporting Club and Cedar Events Ghana organize “CLEAN AND PLAY”.
