Sony is introducing cloud gaming to the PlayStation Portal, allowing users to stream over 120 PS5 games directly from Sony’s servers without needing a console. PlayStation Plus Premium members can access a beta program offering titles like *Ghost of Tsushima* and *Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales* at up to 1080p and 60fps, provided their internet speed is at least 13Mbps. Despite some limitations, such as its 8-inch screen and capped frame rate, the PS Portal retains features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for an authentic PlayStation experience.
PS Portal offers an affordable alternative to the PS5 Pro ($700) and Slim ($500) – at an affordable $200 price tag. PlayStation Portal is rolling out via a software update in 30 countries, including the US, UK, and Japan. Users need a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription and a PlayStation Network account to enable the feature in settings.
For the full list of countries included in the rollout, visit Sony’s blog, or head to PCMag for more details. 🎮️👉️
