The Assembly Member for the Dzatabu Electoral Area, Mr. Owusu Bempah, has welcomed the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority’s (GPHA) swift intervention in addressing traffic congestion caused by container trucks in Tema Community Three.

He commended the Authority for responding to residents’ concerns but urged it to expedite permanent measures to resolve the recurring challenge and restore normalcy to the area.

Residents of the Dzatabu Electoral Area in Tema Community Three have suspended a planned three-day protest against the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) over traffic congestion caused by container trucks, following assurances from the Authority.

The Director of Tema Port, Tebon Zumah, says immediate measures, including the deployment of security personnel, have been implemented to ease congestion, while land has been secured for the construction of a truck park as a long-term solution.
