Stonebwoy lands in the 64th triangle, got featured on 3 nominated Albums — by Sean Paul, Jesse Royal, Etana, respectively!

The nominees for the 64th annual Recording Academy / GRAMMYs Awards were unveiled on November 23rd, ahead of the ceremony on January 31st, with Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star, Stonebwoy, securing his fourth nomination.

was shortlisted for his participation as a featured artist on three albums that were released in the year under review for "containing at least 51% playing time of new reggae recordings," according to the Recording Academy. The albums by , by , and by each scored a nomination in the category.

On the 16-track "Pamoja" album, Stonebwoy is featured on track 06, "Proppa". The album, released on June 25th, brings together the worlds and cultures of Africa and Jamaica in both musical and lyrical form. He secured a feature on "Live N Livin"—one of two albums from Sean Paul—which offers a collaboration over confrontation undertone that showcases unity in dancehall.

On Jesse Royal's sophomore album "Royal," which is incredibly versatile, multi-layered, rich in sound and message, the Ghanaian also participated as a featured artist on the track "Dirty Money." The album was released on June 10th.

Since his debut, Stonebwoy has had an outstanding "history" with the GRAMMYS. In September 2020, the Ghanaian music legend received a certificate for his contribution as a featured musician on Morgan Heritage's Grammy-nominated album "Avrakedabra." He was named to the GRAMMYs Recording Academy Class of 2021 in June 2021, providing him the chance to celebrate, represent, and give back to music and its creators.

Afrobeat Sensation, Kelvyn Boy is strongly of the view the disappearance of OV from the music scene should be attributed to the doings of Bhim Nation camp.

Once tagged as the star of the future, OV stunned the music world with some magical performances at the popular reality show MTN hitmaker where she went all the way to clinch the first position.

Her talent caught the attention of Dancehall Great, Stonebwoy who took her as one of his label signee when Kelvyn Boy was still under contract at the Burniton Music Group.

OV quickly became an instant hit with the help of Stonebwoy when he hit the studio to bless a single titled Want Me belonging to OV.

Things took a dramatic turn when Stonebwoy’s then Manager Black Cedi parted ways with him and controversially carried along both Kelvyn Boy and OV.

As much as Kelvyn Boy is still a name around the music scene in Ghana, same cannot be said about the talented female singer leading to questions from every angle of the music industry concerning her whereabouts.

Kelvyn Boy while speaking in an interview on Kingdom FM disclosed OV’s downfall came as a result of the negative talks subjected towards her in the camp of Bhim Nation.

“I blame Stonebwoy and the Bhimnation camp for what is happening to OV , too much talking from the Bhimnation camp brought her down .” Kelvyn Boy said
