An accident at Ofankor Barrier left several injured.

On Thursday morning, August 13, 2026, ten people are feared dead, and several others sustained serious injuries after a tipper truck collided with a Sprinter bus at the Ofankor Barrier on the Accra–Kumasi Highway. The victims were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The crash left the Sprinter bus badly mangled, trapping several passengers inside. According to ADO1 Alex King Nartey of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), emergency officers were deployed to the scene to rescue victims trapped in the wreckage and assist crash survivors.
