In this city of hustle, heat, and tro-tro horns, I’ve always admired her grit. She’s been my queen, especially when she took on undercover work to keep our urban jungle safe. But last week, she sat me down in our small flat off Oxford Street and confessed something that crushed me.

She told me that during a month-long undercover gig, she slept with another man. Three times. She swears it was ‘just work,’ part of her cover in Accra’s gritty underbelly. But then she let slip she felt something—pleasure she can’t take back. Now, every night, with the hum of the city outside our window, I see her with him. It’s tearing me apart.

I’ve stood by her through the power cuts, the traffic, the everything of this life. But this? This betrayal stings sharper than a hawk seller’s hustle. I’m angry. Broken. Part of me wants her to feel this pain—thoughts of her friends, even her sister, haunt me in the dark. I hate that I’m thinking this way, but the hurt won’t stop.

VYBZ Kartel looks bloated & unfit here cos he developed kidney failure, pulmonary edema (swollen lungs), dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) & testicular edema (swollen testicles) during his 12 years in prison.
His failing health was grounds for his early discharge. Even his voice doesn't sound the same.
Hopefully, he lives a bit longer!
