*C/R: MAN AND HIS WIFE ARRESTED FOR CHAINING THEIR 9YRS OLD DAUGHTER AT GOMOA NKWATANAN....*

At Gomoa Nkwatanan in the Gomoa East District, Bismark Odoi, 40, and Savior Atta, his wife, were arrested for attempting to sell their 9-year-old daughter into slavery as a form of punishment. According to the report, the couple beat up the child, put chain on her legs and tied her on the tree in a bush for two days.
Report says,some women who went to farm on Wednesday saw the young daughter who was Chained and tied on the tree in the bush came to report to the community authorities.
Mireku Nyampong in an interview with James Mensah a resident said, the woman came to report to them that the boy is tared on the tree in a bush with chain on her leg.
He said, after they went to the bush, they saw the boy very weak with chained and tied on her leg and hand on a tree in the bush.
He said, they report the incident to the police at Bereku when they brought the daughter from the bush and later the police arrest the father of the victim which the mother has also been arrested.
He said they suspect that the parents want to sell their daughter for money but it didn't succeed.

*GA South: 60-year-old Evangelist's decomposing body found in Tuba room*

Following the discovery of the decomposing body of Opanyin Yaw Okyere, a 60-year-old Evangelist, in his room, fear has gripped the people of Tuba in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. According to people who lived around, the Deceased wasn't seen around for some days now but they today started feeling some unpleasant odour from the room of the deceased. Upon breaking in with the intervention of the security Agencies, they discovered the lifeless body of the Evangelist which is believed to have been dead for about 5days.
Evangelist Opanyin Yaw Okyere reportedly lived alone with his family residing far away in the Bono Region.

In an interview with the media, Mr. Tetteh Marick Agbo who is Unit Committee Member for the Tuba Electoral Area, revealed that the late Evangelist frequently go to Kasoa to do Street Evangelism but it is very unfortunate to find his lifeless body in such state.
He added that the police have transferred the body to the mortuary, awaiting the arrival of family members from the Bono region.

The Ga South Environmental Health team has intervened, fumigating the room to reduce the unpleasant scent.

Meanwhile, some residents expressed their thoughts and concerns about the incident which they say it has created fear and panic among them.

This tragic occurrence sheds light on the importance of community vigilance and supporting individuals who live in isolation.
