A Business Without an Online Presence Is Like Eating Fufu with Little Soup

In Ghana, we all know that fufu without enough soup just doesn’t hit right. It feels incomplete, unsatisfying, and even a bit frustrating. The same can be said about a business without an online presence.

In today’s digital age, your business must live where your customers spend their time — online. Whether it’s a properly designed website, a Facebook Business Page, YouTube channel, Instagram account, or other platforms, these tools all help put your business in front of the right audience.

Just as soup brings life to fufu, your online presence brings life to your business — attracting new customers, building trust, and keeping you competitive.

At West Wind Information Technology, we’ll help you get your business online and manage it for you. Whether you're just starting or looking to grow, we can make your online presence stronger, smarter, and more impactful.

Don’t let your business run dry. Go digital — and give your “fufu” the soup it deserves.

Mpox outbreak: 26 new cases confirmed, total now 45

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 26 new cases of Mpox, bringing the total number of infections across the country to 45.

The new cases were reported as of May 31, 2025, and were announced by the Ministry of Health in an update shared on its page on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

Although the number of confirmed cases has increased sharply, no deaths have been recorded. Two people are currently receiving treatment.

The rise in case numbers has been attributed to more active surveillance and improved contact tracing, which are helping to detect and isolate infections more quickly within communities.

Special Prosecutor declares Ken Ofori-Atta wanted again

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has once again declared Ghana’s former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, a wanted person. This comes after he failed to appear in person before the OSP, despite being directed to do so.

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, said at a press conference on Monday, June 2, 2025, that Mr. Ofori-Atta has repeatedly delayed and refused to cooperate with criminal investigations. “We want him here physically. We have indulged him for long, and it ends here,” Mr. Agyebeng stated firmly.

Death toll in Nigeria floods hits more than 200, officials say

The death toll after deadly floods hit the Nigerian town of Mokwa on Thursday has risen to more than 200, officials say.

There are still 500 people missing in the town in north-central Niger State, as a search mission continues.

The deputy chairman of Mokwa Local Government, Musa Kimboku, told the BBC that rescue efforts have ceased because authorities no longer believe anyone could still be alive.

The floods, said to be the worst in the area for 60 years, swept through the towns of Tiffin Maza and Anguwan Hausawa after a bout of torrential rain.
