The West Akim Municipal Assembly, led by the Honourable Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paulina Akabila, accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating director and some senior officers of the Assembly visited some abandoned projects in the municipality for a swifter action on the abandoned projects in the municipality.
The purpose of the exercise she noted was to identify and take appropriate steps to have the abandoned projects completed in time to address the infrastructural gap affecting the various sectors within the municipality.
The visit took the team to abandoned project sites located at the Asamankese Senior High School, Osenase, Akanteng and Nkruakan communities.
Some of the abandoned project sites visited are as follows:
1. Construction of Single Storey 6-Unit Classroom block at Nkruakan
2. Construction of Single Storey 2-Unit Kindergarten Block at Nkruakan
3. Construction of Single Storey Teachers Quarters with Borehole at Nkruakan
4. 2No 20-Seater WC Toilet facility at Asamankese Senior High School
5. 2 Storey 12-Unit Dormitory Block at Asamankese Senior High School
6. 1 No 6-Unit Classroom Block at Osenase
7. 2 No 10-Seater WC Toilet facility at Osenase
By addressing these stalled projects, the Municipal Assembly hopes to revive development, stimulate economic growth, and improve residents' lives.
