*WENDA Celebrates Awaso STEM SHS for their Outstanding Performance in the National Public Speaking Competition 2025*
Today, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the President of the Western North Development Association (WENDA), Maxwell Baidoo, together with the Secretary for Education, Mrs. Joyce Armah, paid a surprise visit to Awaso STEM Senior High School. During the visit, they met with the school management and the entire student body to congratulate and present citations in honour of the team that represented the school at the grand finale of the recently ended National Public Speaking Competition held in Accra.
In his opening remarks, the President commended the contestants, school management, and staff of Awaso STEM Senior High School for their remarkable achievement, which has brought pride and joy to the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality and the entire Western North Region. He noted that educational development is one of the core objectives of the Association and emphasized that WENDA considers it a duty to identify with and celebrate such outstanding academic successes.
Maxwell Baidoo, the president further assured the school community that WENDA would continue to follow up on the progress of the contestants who represented the school and ensure that all necessary support required to advance their academic journeys is provided.
In total, five (5) beautifully designed citations were presented to the following individuals and school:
1. Nancy Ama Brew – Main Speaker
2. Jacqueline Amankwaa Kwarteng – Supporting Speaker
3. Dorcas Mensah – Tutor and Team Coach, Awaso STEM Senior High School
4. Maxwell Agyenim Boateng – Tutor and Team Coach, Awaso STEM Senior High School
5. School Management, Awaso STEM Senior High School
