Remember when Chelsea FC won the Champions League for the first time? Chelsea had to sack the main coach, Andre Villas-Boas, and make his assistant the new main coach. Remember, Di Matteo was part of the technical team. If the management of Chelsea had not sacked the main coach, we would have all judged Di Matteo based on the performance of his boss.
Just the change of manager helped; now Di Matteo was making his own decisions, decisions that were rejected and overruled by his previous boss. The issue is that you're not the final decision-maker when you are an assistant. You can have all the brilliant ideas, but when they do not align with your boss's vision, he will refuse you. Especially when we vote before decisions are taken, it doesn't matter how good your decisions are. Some people will still vote against you based on their relationship with you or what they stand to benefit from. This is Ghana. Some people will always choose their relationship over your ideas. These are facts.
There's an African proverb that states, "An army of sheep led by a lion will defeat an army of lions led by a sheep." The leader is always the main target.
I trust a leader with a vision.
It is possible.
