This is how the former CEO of MASLOC Sedinam Attionu Tamaklo with the help of John Mahama and the NDC robbed Ghana.

💰– She stole over 70 million cedis meant for Kantamanto fire victims in 2013.

💰- She stole 650,000 cedis meant for a microfinance in Ejura

💰- She stole 2 million cedis allocated for a MASLOC sensitization workshop, which she claimed took place, but there is no record of such an event occurring.

💰- She inflated budget intended for procurement of busses for GPRTU and pocketed the change.

💰- She connived with her cronies and bought 350 vehicles, which were selling at half the price on the market.

💰- She procured Samsung phones, which she then sold to the State for 400 cedis each. However, upon investigation, it was found that the same phones were selling on the market for only 100 cedis.

She was convicted and found guilty of all 78 counts brought against her.

In 2010, Mercy Ablakwa, the younger sister of Okudzeto Ablakwa was given a total of $33,400 scholarship to pursue BSc Nursing at University of Charleston in the US.

She was arrested on October 7, 2011 in Wisconsin-US, and was subsequently charged for the offence of Forgery.

The breakdown of the scholarship... $16,032 was for academic scholarship and $17,366 was for living allowance and passage.

In 2010, Okudzeto was a deputy minister of Information.

To deal with the problems associated with the social Kayayei phenomenon, government is assisting Kayayei with the provision of residential vocational and skills training facilities. The residential facilities. Vocational Skills training will be provided by TVET, YEA and GEA. The girls will be provided training in various disciplines such as electricals, tailoring, soap making, ICT, etc.

The training will take 6 months for each group. So far, two of the facilities have been completed in Accra (Madina and Ashaiman) with a capacity to train 300 Kayayei each for 6 months (A total of 1200 a year for Accra). Two residential training facilities are far advanced in Kumasi (Suame and Asokore Mampong) and the next set of four facilities will be built in Tamale. During the training the Kayayei will be provided with stipends and at the end of the training, they will be provided start up tool kits to start their own businesses.

The newly constructed TVET Centre of Excellence at Anyinam in the Eastern Region.

Government is constructing 5 new TVET centres at Anyinam, Akomadan, Assin Jakai, Manso Abore, and Pakyi No. 2.
The full scope of these projects was to establish state-of-the-art TVET Centres of Excellence that have the capacity to train students in different trades (skills).
The overall aim and objective of this project proposal is to support the government of Ghana’s endeavours to develop technical and vocational skills relevant to the 21st-century world of work.

Students at the different centres are trained in trades such as (a mix of 5 key trades per centre):

•Electrical Installation
•Automation and Mechatronics
•Renewable Energies
•Electronics
•Electric Machines
•Thermotronics (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
•Autoronics and Automotive Technologies
•Food Processing Technologies – •Value Addition
•Wood Working
•Garment and Tailoring
•Jewellery Making (Lapidary)
•Information Communication Technologies
