The Kumasi Traditional Council toured the Adum PZ fire scenes on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Assisted by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Nananom assessed the extent of the destruction and surrounding areas of the incident and gave their approval for the evacuation of some traders to make way for the construction of a vehicular path.

Among the chiefs were Akyeamfuo Asafo Boakye Agyemang Bonsu, Asafohene; Baffour Kwame K**i, Ankobeahene; Baffour Osei Kwame, Otumfuo Kyeame Kantankrakyi; Baffour Agyei Kesse IV, Adumhene; and Nana Apau Wiafe Ababio Sawoansa, Hemanghene.

Ashanti Regional Minister Meets Fire Service Command Over Adum PZ Fire Incident

Kumasi, Ghana – March 24, 2025

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has held a crucial meeting with the Ashanti Regional Fire Service Commander and senior officers to discuss the recent fire outbreak at Adum PZ in Kumasi. The meeting focused on assessing the response efforts, addressing challenges, and strengthening future emergency preparedness.

Dr. Amoakohene commended the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and other security agencies for their dedication and swift intervention in managing the incident, despite initial difficulties. He reiterated his commitment to supporting their efforts in safeguarding lives and property.
