Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong re-elected to AAU Governing Board
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has been re-elected as a member of the governing Board of Association of African Universities (AAU) for another four years.
The election, which took place during the ongoing AAU 16th Quadrennial General Conference in Rabat, Morocco, marks a significant step forward for AAU.
Prof. Boampong's re-election is seen as a recognition of his strong leadership and diplomatic academic skills, particularly his commitment in playing an important role in advancing the interest of AAU across the African continent.
What is AAU?
The Association of African Universities is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization created by African Universities to promote cooperation among them on the one hand and between them and the international academic community on the other. Created in 1967, the AAU is the voice of higher education in Africa.
