Radio Peace and Development PAD FM is a community base radio station in Damongo transmitting on the frequency of 95.1 MHZ with the sole aim of bringing radio to the grass root level for equal opportunity to all in its catchment area. Pad FM since its inception has changed a lot of things positively through the programs that are running at the station. The listener-ship of Pad FM has grown strongly and all the programs are doing massively well in educating, informing and entertaining the people as well, programs like Community affairs, My Home, Pad stream, What’s It, Sleep No Catch You, the newest of all is Personality Profile which also caught up with people and a host of other programs.

CHANGE OF CHAIRMAN FOR 2026 YAGBON DAMBA CELEBRATION

The Planning Committee announces that Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, Governor of the Bank of Ghana is now the Chairman for this year's Yagbon Damba.

Please disregard the earlier flyer with Dara Salaam Group Executive Chairman.

Yagbon Damba 2026 still comes off 27th-30th August at Jakpa Palace, Damongo.

OFFICIAL NOTICE ON CHANGE OF CHAIRMAN FOR 2026 YAGBON DAMBA CELEBRATION.

14th September, 2026.

The Planning Committee of the Yagbon Damba Festival 2026 wishes to inform the general public, sons and daughters of Gonjaland, friends and well-wishers of a change in the Chairmanship of this year’s Yagbon Damba Festival.

The earlier announcement of the Executive Chairman of Dara Salaam Group of Companies as Chairman of the 2026 Yagbon Damba has been revised due to an emergency circumstance beyond his control, which requires him to travel outside the jurisdiction of Ghana with immediate effect. As a result, he will unfortunately be unable to serve in the capacity of Chairman for this year’s celebration.
The Planning Committee in consultation with the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama agreed to be the Chairman of the 2026 Yagbon Damba Celebration

We therefore respectfully request the public to disregard and pull down the earlier flyer announcing the Executive Chairman of Dara Salaam Group of Companies as Chairman and refer to the revised flyer accompanying this statement for the updated information.

The Planning Committee expresses its sincere appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Dara Salaam Group of Companies for his willingness and commitment to support this year’s Yagbon Damba and wishes him well in his emergency engagement.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience, confusion or misunderstanding this change may cause and count on the continued understanding, cooperation and support of all sons and daughters of Gonjaland, our traditional authorities, partners, sponsors, friends and well-wishers.
