HTU Vice-Chancellor Congratulates KNUST’s Prof. Rita Dickson on Prestigious Award

The Vice-Chancellor of Ho Technical University (HTU), Professor Ben Honyenuga, has extended warm congratulations to his counterpart, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) (KNUST), following her recognition as the Outstanding Vice-Chancellor of the Year 2025.

Prof. Dickson received the honour in the Excellent Leadership in Education category at the 10th Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit and Achievers Awards (GNAA 2025), held in Abuja, Nigeria. The award celebrates her transformative leadership at KNUST, her commitment to academic excellence, and her role as an inspiring figure for women globally.

Reacting to KNUST’s official announcement on Facebook, Prof. Honyenuga simply wrote: “Congratulations Prof VC.”
Though brief, the message carried significant weight, symbolizing the mutual respect and camaraderie shared between the two Vice-Chancellors and their institutions.

Professor Honyenuga himself was recently honoured beyond Ghana’s borders with the African Excellence Award at the 2025 ATUPA Conference in Durban, South Africa — a recognition of his visionary leadership and tireless commitment to advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across Africa.

With both Vice-Chancellors celebrated on international platforms, their achievements not only bring pride to HTU and KNUST but also elevate Ghana’s higher education leadership on the global stage.
