A moment of pride for Volta and Ghana 🇧🇫 🇬🇭
On the occasion of the inauguration of Thomas Sankara Mausoleum, the government of Burkina Faso has honored Thomas Sankara friend, the former Ghanaian president, John Jerry Rawlings, by renaming one of the important streets here in Ouagadougou, to 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞. That's the second street that carries the name of a former Ghanaian leader. There's already Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in the downtown Ouagadougou. It's the most well known Avenue in downtown.

The ceremony has just ended with the participation of a delegation coming from Ghana which included members of J.J. Rawlings family.

NOTE : for those who know Ouagadougou, the Avevenue is located on the West side of Burkina National Musium.

STRENGTHENING ENERGY COOPERATION: MY VISIT TO ZAMBIA
I have arrived in Lusaka, Zambia, alongside top officials from Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Limited, to explore opportunities for strengthening energy cooperation between Ghana and Zambia. Our visit marks an important step as we conduct visibility studies and engage in high-level negotiations for the possible establishment of a power generation plant to support Zambia’s energy sector.
With a firm commitment to sustainable energy solutions across Africa, Sunon Asogli Power is dedicated to leveraging our expertise to provide reliable and affordable electricity, driving economic growth and development.
During this visit, my team and I will engage key stakeholders, including government officials and energy sector leaders, to assess the feasibility of this initiative and explore strategic partnerships.
I remain committed to fostering regional collaboration, economic development, and energy sustainability. More updates will follow as discussions progress.

The people selected to guard Togbe Xe's grave are called "Xeviwo" (descendants of Xe), which is Xeviwofe today (home of Xeviwo).
Also called Akrofu
They're color symbol is red because they're leader died and they were mourning

The person who led the group after Togbe Xe, was Togbe Sa.
They got to a place where they found green and very fertile lands.
A group headed by Togbe Sa decided to settle there because the land was very good for farming.
They're called Saviwo(descendants of Sa)
Which is Saviwofe today (home of Saviwo)
They're color symbol is green because of the green vegetation they came across

The other group was led by Togbe So. He was like a native doctor. He was a "blusi" as referred to in our dialect.
So they're color symbol is blue because of who they're leader was.

The rest of the people also left to go and settle elsewhere.
And when they were going, their aim was to also get a good place to settle.
So they encouraged themselves and said, "let's be going, it shall be well"
Min) yiyi ko, elavanyo.
Truly truly it was well with them. They also settled happily.
They are the Alavanyo people today
They're color symbol is white because they found victory.

The Ultra-modern tennis court on the campus of Sonrise Christian High School is located on Ho-Aflao Road.

Engineered by 5 Js Constructions, it features a seating capacity of over 400, along with two washrooms and changing areas.

The Sonrise High Tennis Court will help promote the development of tennis in the Volta Region, especially among children.
