Jackson’s Take: The 24-Hour Economy: A Solution to Unemployment and Economic Growth

In a ground-breaking move towards economic development, former president, John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to implement a 24-hour economy that aims to reduce unemployment and boost various industries. By reducing electricity tariffs at night, industries will be empowered to increase production and meet the growing demand. This initiative is set to revolutionize the agricultural, pharmaceutical, and construction sectors, promoting job creation and economic growth.

Leading the charge in this ambitious endeavor is John Mahama, a visionary leader and nation-builder committed to transforming Ghana's economy and reducing unemployment. With his expertise and strategic planning, Mahama aims to leverage his experience and knowledge to drive the successful implementation of the 24-hour economy. Mahama's leadership and dedication to building Ghana will ensure that this initiative is executed efficiently and effectively, benefiting all sectors of the economy.

With the introduction of a 24-hour economy, the agricultural industry stands to benefit significantly. Farmers will have extended access to electricity, enabling them to utilize modern farming techniques and increase productivity. As a result, there will be a surge in agricultural output, leading to increased food security and a decrease in import dependency.

The pharmaceutical industry will also experience a significant boost from the 24-hour economy. With reduced electricity tariffs during the night, pharmaceutical companies can extend their production hours and meet the growing demand for essential medicines. This extended operation time will not only lead to increased employment opportunities but also ensure a steady supply of affordable and life-saving drugs to the population.

Furthermore, the construction industry will witness a transformative impact through the 24-hour economy. Reduced electricity tariffs during the night will incentivize construction companies to work around the clock, accelerating infrastructure development projects. This increased activity will create job opportunities in the construction sector and stimulate economic growth through improved transportation networks, housing facilities, and public infrastructure.

The Trade Union Congress has expressed support for the implementation of the 24-hour economy. Recognizing the potential for job creation and economic progress, they acknowledge the positive impact this initiative will have on the nation's workforce. With their endorsement, the next government led by John Dramani Mahama can proceed with confidence, knowing that this groundbreaking move has widespread support from key stakeholders.

The introduction of a 24-hour economy holds immense potential for reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth. By reducing electricity tariffs at night, industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and construction will be empowered to increase production, create job opportunities, and meet the growing demand. With the support of the Trade Union Congress and the guidance of John Mahama, Ghana is poised to embark on a transformative journey towards a thriving and dynamic economy.

Jackson’s Take: Former President John Mahama will not Debate with Vice President Dr. Bawumia

Former president John Mahama will not engage in any debate with Vice President Dr. Bawumia, who has been elected as the flagbearer of the incumbent government's New Patriotic Party (NPP). This is because of the government's failure in fulfilling its promises to the people of Ghana.

The former president, known for his eloquence and debating skills, will not engage in this public debate, this is because of the lack of progress made by the current administration in addressing key issues facing the nation. Mahama, who is set to contest in the upcoming presidential elections, firmly believes that engaging in a debate would be futile, as the government has fallen short in delivering on its electoral promises.

One of the main factors contributing to this decision is the failure of the government in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. Despite the NPP's pledges to improve these areas, we the NDC believes that the current administration has not made significant progress in addressing the pressing needs of the Ghanaian people.

Furthermore, this debate with Dr. Bawumia would only serve as a platform for political rhetoric and empty promises, without substantial action being taken to address the challenges facing the nation. The former president believes that actions speak louder than words, and it is the responsibility of the government to deliver tangible results rather than engage in empty debates.
