I’m dating this married man who runs to me anytime he has issues at home. Maybe I’m his peace away from the storm, or just a place where he can lay his head down and no one will worry him. He likes it with me, but he’s very jealous.

Not long ago, we had a misunderstanding. He said I had ‘met’ another man before meeting him at the hotel. I swore I didn’t. He said, “Look at you. You look like someone who just had 'sezz'.” I said, “Nooo, I don’t do that with anyone except you.”

“Then come and let me smell it and see if it hasn’t received a 'visitor' before coming here,” he ordered.

“I should come for you to smell my… what are you even saying? I said I haven’t slept with any man, believe me.”

He got angry and started packing to leave the hotel just because I wouldn’t allow him to smell the deepest part of my being. I didn’t want him to leave. I begged him to stay, but he would only stay if I allowed him, so I grudgingly opened up and he did as he pleased.

“Good,” he said. “Now I believe you. I can smell cheating, so be careful.”

My question is, is that possible? Can a man detect cheating this way? I don’t intend to cheat on him or any future partner, but I would like to know if this is a divine skill some men possess.

Now this is a real life story and it goes to buttress my point that it is not your responsibility as a man to rent and pay all those bills for a woman you are in a romantic relationship with, because truth is you don’t owe her that.

I came across this story of this guy on your right who was known as Emmanuel who had rented an apartment for the lady in the picture and when he heard that, another man was in the lady’s house, he rushed there to confront the man.

According to local reports during the heated argument, he collapsed and couldn’t make it—I’m sure the shock and betrayal spiked his BP and in all of it, the lady was unbothered as eyewitnesses say, when the lady was asked to help him when he collapsed, she said she doesn't care if he lives or not but we gather the police has picked her up as the side piece is on the run.

Now it’s obvious this young man used a huge part of his savings to rent for the lady and hence hearing that she was entertaining another man, he couldn’t handle it and rushed there.

When you don’t spend ‘recklessly’ on a woman, things like this wouldn’t bother you because there is no investment to protect.

And you think she cares that you pay her rent, got her a car and pay her bills? You honestly think that will make her loyal to you?

If she doesn’t love you, no matter what you do, it won’t please her and another man who gives her nothing will get the best versions of her cookie for free and on top of it, be fed with money you provided.

I feel sad for him because this was one he could have avoided. Listen to me young ones, you should NEVER spend money to prove love.

And when you see another man on her, don’t waste your energy going after the man—Just walk away from it. If he had count his losses, and moved on, he would have been here.
