As followers of Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano and members of the global Tijaniya fraternity prepare for the Safar Maulid in Prang, the spiritual headquarters of Tijaniya in Ghana, I pray that your preparations are filled with humility and inner peace.
1. To those whom Allah has blessed with financial means, please remember the many sincere individuals who wish to attend but lack the resources. Some have made the firm intention to go but are struggling to afford transport. If you can, sponsor someone’s bus fare or offer them something small to support their expenses in Prang. By Allah, such generosity brings immense blessings.
2. To those who are ready and set to journey to Prang in the coming weeks, take a moment to reflect deeply on your intentions and actions. Make sure you approach Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano’s presence with a clean heart, free from malice or insincerity. Come with serious prayer and clear aspirations, not for fun or leisure. Remember, Prang is not a place for amusement, it is a sacred ground, a spiritual extension of Madinatu Rasul. Treat it with reverence.
3. To my fellow youth, especially my brothers from the ghettos and my dear sisters, please come to Prang with a humble spirit. Be mindful of your conduct. Do not be a distraction to the people of Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano, and avoid anything that could block your spiritual progress. If you have bad habits, leave them behind before setting foot in Prang. Just as even witches submit in the presence of a true spiritual leader, let us also surrender our shortcomings in this sacred place.
