THE FIRST ANCESTRESS OF THE ROYAL BIRETUO CLAN.

It's believed that Nana Asiama Nyankopon Gyahyia, ancestress of the royal Biretuo clan of Mampong came down from the sky by the silver chain known as "Atwiaban".

This is said to have happened at Ahensan in Adanse at a spot now marked by the stream, "Domisa'.

Before her arrival, a bird named "Afwia" announced "3n3 biribi beba kuro yi mu" which means "something strange is about to come to this village today".

Instantly, a leopard, "Kurotwiamansa followed" then from the sky came Asiama Guahyia with the Silver Stool and with her subjects.
