The entertainment in Kumbungu is becoming much more interesting these days, due to the two different competitions held at the Binbiem Palace in Kumbungu.

The Entertainment Chief, Dema Naa Yakubu Gbanjong, is making a significant impact in Kumbungu's entertainment scene by organizing local dances such as Simpa, Bila, Baamaaya, Jara, and Nagbegu, among others, since receiving the cola as Entertainment Chief from Naa Yabi Kumbung Naa some years ago.

He has been organizing these events annually and has changed things up this year by launching a battle among the ladies with the GARAWA challenge and a GYM competition among the men at the forecourt of Binbiem Palace.

The GARAWA challenge finals took place, followed by the men's gym competition, which was held at the Chief's palace, where the winners were awarded prizes.

Events like these promote peace and unity among the youth in Kumbungu. The video below shows the men's gym competition held at Binbiem Palace.

Kumbungu is another hub of talented upcoming artists in the region, but they don’t have a mainstream artist or representative in the music scene. This is because music exploration has become more professional for many people across the region and country.

The reason Kumbungu doesn’t have a mainstream artist or representative in the music industry isn’t a lack of talent, but rather a lack of media connections.

Kumbungu is blessed with talented artists who have been in the music space for a while but don’t get attention from the public and the media. Artists like Mystro Wan, Doro Sark, Young Bless, King Sass, ZaaBia, Don Dada, Titima, and comic artist Copper Wan are Kumbungu town artists who have been in the music industry for several years.

They’re all independent artists trying to be heard in the music space, and I strongly believe that if they get the attention they need, they can achieve great things.

COUNTDOWN!

Only three days are left until the highly anticipated concert, "Grinding," takes place at the Kumbungu Community Center. Artists from different places are gearing up to join Young Bless for a successful concert on November 2nd.

Young Bless is one of the few artists who wants to see himself growing alongside his fellow artists, so he always makes himself available for them whenever they need him in their programs and collaborations.

With this, many artists are well-prepared to grace his concert with scintillating performances as payback for his consistent support.

The artists below are some of those coming from outside Kumbungu; Tamale, Dalun & Savulegu to support the young promising star on his big day.

Young Bless's first commercial concert was planned since the end of last year.

Everything about his concert - venue, sound, and date - was already booked, and the concert "Nasara" was set to happen early this year at the center. However, issues were encountered during the concert promotion process, which led his management to put the concert on hold.

The concert, which was put on hold, has been rebranded and brought back to the public eye as the current promotional concert, "Grinding Concert," happening next week Sunday.

We encourage all music lovers across the Kumbungu sector to come out on Sunday and let's celebrate this young promising star.

The lyrical battle among the northern artists based in Kumasi is still heating up, as they continue to exchange sharp blows in their songs.

The lyrical battle, carefully prepared and executed, began with Rap Devil's camp, with his first song "Warning" aimed at the artists. Fresh 2 later joined in, responding to all the artists with the song "Monkeys Stop Shouting." Dee Bwoy also joined the battle with a song titled "Who."

This concert happens to be his first-ever concert since he joined the music scene in 2022. As a result, all the artists in Kumbungu town have taken this upcoming concert as their own, as he is the fourth artist from Kumbungu to host his own concert.

Tension is rising in Kumasi as northern artists based in Kumasi engage in a lyrical battle.

So far, three of them are busy exchanging verbal blows while others are warming up in studios to join the battle starting today, including the KNMA Overall Artist of the Year 2022, Dee Bwoy who has finished preparing his response to fire at opponents.

This lyrical battle has woken up the Kumasi music industry and other artists from their long slumber, refocusing fans' attention on the artists and the music industry.

Abdul Razak Abdul Mumin, known for his contribution to the music industry as StarGuy, is one of the few talents in northern Ghana with no bad songs.

He is an independent young upcoming artist who finances his projects with his own pocket money, but this doesn’t slow him down from feeding his fans what they expect from him.

For three months now, StarGuy has been painting the industry with a couple of good songs with visuals (Niya & Black Jesus), which are currently among the trending songs down here in the north.

Today, StarGuy is back with another new song with visuals, titled Nasara, following his biggest feature, Black Jesus, with Israhim.
