According to some Youths Leaders in the community, their biggest challenge is the kind of water they use.

The residents of Gomoa Kweikrom survive on stagnant water. The water they walk in with their cattle is the same water they drink. This is unhealthy and it’s causing illness among the residents.

Dwellers are seeking help from the government of Ghana and others.

NDC REMOVES HARUNA IDDRISU AND AVEDZI AS MINORITY AND DEPUTY MINORITY LEADERS RESPECTIVELY.

Haruna Iddrisu has been removed as the Minority Leader

The leadership of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has removed Harruna's address as the Minority Leader.

He has been replaced with Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam lawmaker Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.

The party has also removed James Klustse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader. He has also been replaced with Ellembelle Member of Parliament Kofi Armah Buah.

The party says these changes form part of its reorganization process to reposition itself for a better battle in Election 2024.

“It has become necessary for you to deploy you from your current position as Deputy Minority Leader with immediate effect,” a statement signed by General Secretary of the party Fiifi Kwetety said on Tuesday, January 24.

“I wish on behalf of the party to express our deepest appreciation to you for your service over the years in this capacity,’ the statement added.

It further said ” please kindly arrange with the new officer to effect the necessary handing over processes. Please accept or assure of the highest regard.”

AHANTA WEST:MOTHER ALLEGEDLY HANGS HERSELF AND HER SON.
January 18, 2023.

A young mother has committed su***de at Ajoa, a community in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region. Before committing su***de, she hanged her son.

It is currently unknown what caused her to take her life and that of her son but eyewitnesses who interacted with the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa morning show, Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, narrated that they met the lifeless, bodies of the young mother and her son in the early morning of Wednesday, January 2023.

“We came to work in the building as laborers and saw the lifeless body of the lady and her son when we got there,” an eyewitness by name of Nana Yaw said.

“She could be in her early twenties whilst her son would be around four years. We don’t know where they come from and we don’t know any of their family members. They are still there on the ropes,” Nana Yaw added.

From the images available, the young parent is seen hanged whilst her son’s hand is tied with a rope in a sad situation.

“Information I have gathered is that residents around the community saw the young lady begging for money with her son yesterday around 4:00 pm. Nobody saw them again until this morning when we saw them dead in the uncompleted building. We do not know her in this community so we believe she came from somewhere else,” Assembly member for Ajoa, Robert James Yankey, indicated.
