A Ghanaian chef, Abdul Razak Failatu is on a mission to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest time spent cooking - a whopping seven days! 🍲💪

She's the first Ghanaian attempting the cook-a-thon and aiming to break the 119 and 57mins record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher.

Fisher had late last year broke the 96hrs record set by Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci.

Failatu’s original plan was to cook for five days but that changed after a Ugandan woman attempting the same record cooked for 144 hours in Six days - the attempt is yet to be officially confirmed by the GWR.

Her attempt is coming days after another Ghanaian woman sang continuously for 126hrs to break a GWR.

As of midnight Thursday, she had cooked for 96 long hours, with many Ghanaians, including Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, cheering her on.

I am privileged once more to do another presentation at the 3rd regional conference workshop on border management in Cotonou, Benin. This is the third in series after doing same in Burkina Faso and Accra, Ghana. The conference brought together participants from Mozambique, Burkina Faso, Togo, Cote' d' Ivoire, Benin, and staff of International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Switzerland, Italy and Portugal. My presentation was the headline of the many presentations in the 2 day conference. I want to sincerely thank IOM for their confidence in me.

The newly constructed TVET Centre of Excellence at Anyinam in the Eastern Region.

Government is constructing 5 new TVET centres at Anyinam, Akomadan, Assin Jakai, Manso Abore, and Pakyi No. 2.
The full scope of these projects was to establish state-of-the-art TVET Centres of Excellence that have the capacity to train students in different trades (skills).
The overall aim and objective of this project proposal is to support the government of Ghana’s endeavours to develop technical and vocational skills relevant to the 21st-century world of work.

Students at the different centres are trained in trades such as (a mix of 5 key trades per centre):

•Electrical Installation
•Automation and Mechatronics
•Renewable Energies
•Electronics
•Electric Machines
•Thermotronics (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
•Autoronics and Automotive Technologies
•Food Processing Technologies – •Value Addition
•Wood Working
•Garment and Tailoring
•Jewellery Making (Lapidary)
•Information Communication Technologies

➡️Secured Jobs for about 20 people into the Local Government Sector.

➡️ Supported in paying the School Fees/Bills for Brilliant but Needy Students in the various Tertiary Institutions.

➡️ Sponsored Best Students and Teachers Awards, (Awarded teachers and Students with Motorbikes, Fridges,Gas Cookers, Televisions, Books and Cash Amount) during the 2022 Independence Day celebration

➡️ Paid for the costs of pilgrimage of twenty-eight (28) Muslims to perform Hajj/ Umrah at Mecca

➡️ Distributed One Thousand (1000) bags of fertilizer to hardworking farmers and polling station executives every farming season for the past 3years

➡️ Donated 3 ambulances/hearses,one each to the 3 main towns in the district (Pusiga, Widana and Kulungungu).
