Dear Be-Awurbi(Hon Minister)

As you present handing over notes to the Municipal and District Chief Executives for the Savannah region, my appeal to you as a practicing journalist is to implore the MDCEs to see the media as a partner in the developmental drive of their respective assemblies and not destructors. It is often said that identifying a problem is a first step to solving it.

The media may not come with offers and cash to inject into the assembly coffers, but our role is immeasurable and brings attention to the myriads of challenges that exist and getting them fixed.

They should open their doors to the media and be friends with them.

It may not be rosy always but it is imperative to understand that good press birth’s development.

On our part, we will abhor self seeking and unethical journalism that will paint a bad image on the person of the MDCEs and their offices.
