The “no bed” situation is not just a headline. It is a painful reality that affects families every day. Behind every “no bed” response is a frightened patient, an anxious relative, and hardworking health professionals doing everything they can with limited space and resources.
No one should have to wonder whether there will be a bed available in their moment of greatest need.
Why can’t we have a healthcare system where every life is treated with dignity, urgency, and compassion?
We must do better as a country because every life matters.

As Father’s Day approaches, I can’t help but notice that fathers are often celebrated more quietly than mothers. Yet many fathers carry tremendous responsibilities, make countless sacrifices, and work tirelessly to provide, protect, and guide their families.
