Kingdom Edits and Publications is proud to announce our latest autho 🎉🎉🎉.Dora Duoduwa Ansah, formerly, Dora Duoduwa Arjarkwa is a 94 year old retired educationist who loves the Lord. She had her secondary education at Methodist Girls Middle School and proceeded to Wesley College. She completed Wesley College in 1949 and was sent to her first teaching post in Aburi, the then Methodist Kemp where her teaching career began.
Though her career had begun, she also took a specialist course in Home Economics at Achimota Training College in 1950. The specialist courses at the time were moved to Kumasi as the College of Arts Science and Technology - now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She was among the first batch to start the school in the same year and completed in 1952.
Shortly after teaching for another year, she met her sweetheart, Michael Paul Ansah of blessed memory. They tied the knot in 1956, and were blessed with six children. She later enrolled at the Fort Valley State University, in Georgia, USA (affiliated to University of Washington), to study for a degree in Home Economics. After successful completion of her degree course she was awarded a B.Sc in Home Economics in 1978.
After many years of serving the Ghana Education Service, she retired from active service, after rising to the office of Assistant Director of Education. Though she had retired, she did not fold her arms. She began to volunteer at the newly established Apegusu Senior Secondary School, in the Eastern region of Ghana, as a Home Economics teacher, because the school was really in need of one. She settled in Aboasa, also in the Eastern region of Ghana, where she lived for most of her earlier years in retirement. She served the Lord heartily in many roles as a member of the local Presbyterian Church. She served as a presbyter, a session secretary a treasurer at her church in Aboasa, and a treasurer of the Akwapem Volta Presbytery Women’s Fellowship. She lived with her husband at Aboasa until he went to be with the Lord in 2005. Currently, she fellowships at The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Praise Congregation, Ashongman Estates, Accra.
This book is to incite and inspire you to want to know God and His Word for yourself and to live the life He has called you to live. In the generation that we are now, it is becoming more and more difficult to have a personal relationship with God and be guided by Him in His word. This book aims at bringing the reader to a place where he or she will desire God’s word and live by it. In eight chapters, The Word of God for You; The Word of God is inspired by God for you; Knowing God (Parts 1-4); The Word of God and the Next generation; Testimonies of the manifestation of God’s word, I hope to achieve this aim.
